ABOUT SABITA DEVI EDUCATION TRUST

Sabita Devi Education Trust was established in 2007 as a Non-Profit Charitable Trust for the purpose of promoting and imparting professional education for general public utility. Inspired by legacy of Sabita Devi’s unflinching courage and fortitude in the face of insurmountable odds, her son Mr Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, the Managing Trustee of Sabita Devi Education Trust was encouraged to transform the face of higher education in India in the form of Brainware Consultancy Private Limited established in 1990 which trained students in the emerging field of computer education.

What followed was the establishment of Brainware Group of Institutions in 2010 which positioned Brainware Group as a leader in higher education and technical learning. The milestone achievement was the foundation of Brainware University in 2016, a private autonomous university whose objective is to cast a transformative light on society by promoting quality education among students from all walks of life at an affordable fee, while making them job-ready by the course end. Through its several institutions of higher education and vocational training institutes, the trust works to promote excellence and equity in education amongst diverse communities within the country and abroad. SDET is committed to work alongside educators, policy makers, and business leaders in order to disseminate knowledge and educational funds in aid of meritorious scholars and students from all walks of life. And by the virtue of being a trust, SDET has unfailingly delivered on its promise of traversing societal boundaries to ensure quality education for all.
